Are you friendly, enthusiastic and a good listener who cares about the people in our community, especially those who are feeling lonely or anxious?
Ric's Bench has been set up to provide a safe space where people can come to talk and be in the company of others. It is run by a team of volunteers from our community.
We are starting with three, 2 hour sessions each week: Monday evening, Friday afternoon and Friday evening (Friday evening is for young people between around 16 and 25).
As a volunteer at Ric’s Bench you could help in a number of ways: including listening and talking, working with young people, helping with admin, assisting with fundraising, social media etc.
You will be given basic training and support and we welcome people from all nationalities and backgrounds, of the Christian faith, of other faiths or none.
As a Ric's Bench volunteer you will learn useful skills, gain valuable experience, meet new people and support people in your community.
If you think you may be interested in helping at Ric's Bench, please be in touch via the contact form here so that we can arrange to meet with you.
